ECO4 scheme

The UK government have introduced the ECO4 scheme with the aim to tackle fuel poverty and the rise in energy and heating costs. 

The ECO4 scheme is administered through Ofgem and has been through 4 different replications.

The ECO 4 scheme is open to people in the UK who are home owners or are private tenants. To qualify, you must be in receipt of a qualifying benefit or with a household income of under £31,000 per year. The current list of qualifying benefits is as follows:

·  Income-based Jobseekers Allowance (JSA)

·  Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)

·  Income Support (IS)

·  Pension Credit Guarantee Credit (PCGC)

·  Working Tax Credit (WTC)

·  Child Tax Credit (CTC)

·  Universal Credit (UC)

·  Housing Benefit

·  Pension Credit Savings Credit (PCSC)

·  Child Benefit (within the income caps, see Chapter 5 of the ECO4 Guidance: Delivery)
